Don’t Don’t get Tula-d around!
You’ve probably all heard the term parabens by now, but you may not be as familiar with the regulations on parabens usage.
Ok so back up - for those of you that aren’t familiar with parabens - Parabens are known hormone disruptors that are commonly used as preservatives in cosmetic products. They are also linked to increased risk of breast cancer and reproductive toxicity - that is pretty scary.
So now you may be noticing MANY companies are starting to label their products “PARABEN FREE” - and that’s AWESOME (if it were really true).
Based on regulations, ingredients such as “FRAGRANCE” - include sub-chemicals that actually do contain parabens. Regulators do not require companies to report these sub-chemicals - and so they are able to CLAIM to be PARABEN FREE.. when in fact that isn’t true.
Not to panic. I’m here to help educate you on how to understand the ingredients in your products, regulations and red flags to look for.
Do you see FRAGRANCE IN listed on your PARABEN FREE PRODUCTS, like Tula?
